“I think diversity is something that's been important at Dow for the whole time that I've been here. But I would say I think the shift that we made would be to focus on inclusion. And when I put in the ambition that we wanted to be the most innovative, customer centric, inclusive and sustainable the idea was we wanted to create the right culture and the right environment in the company.”

“I don't know how you are innovative if you're not inclusive and open minded. And you can't have a diverse organization if you're closed minded and you're not inclusive.”

The last point diversity is especially important at Dow… We can add diversity to science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields, and at the same time, add to our ability to compete with the rest of the world, populating our plants, our offices, and our labs with anything but the most diverse workforce.
