Mozilla, the company behind the web browser Firefox, ousted its CEO and co-founder in 2014 over his opposition to same-sex marriage. Mozilla was outspokenly against Donald Trump and his presidency. Mozilla has used its corporate reputation to support amicus briefs for cases seeking to include gender identity and sexual orientation in federal civil rights law. The company provides a benefits package for employees which covers travel/lodging costs for an abortion. Mozilla does not provide viewpoint protections for its employees. Mozilla has also donated to ideological groups hostile to freedom of expression, such as Black Lives Matter and Color of Change. The company co-signed a letter to law firms demanding an improvement in diversity in order to retain business with the company. For these reasons, Mozilla receives a High Risk rating.
