Box, Inc. (Box) vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies and does not provide its employees with protections against viewpoint discrimination, though the company has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. Box covers out-of-state travel for abortions. The company covers the cost of "medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children and advocates for the Equality Act. Box opposed various pieces of state legislation which the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and others deemed "anti-LGBTQ." Its CEO, Aaron Levie, has signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge (4). The company also stands with the Don’t Ban Equality statement, which opposes abortion restrictions (5). Box is also among the 68 companies that signed the brief opposing North Carolina’s Bathroom Bill, HB2 (6). It signed with other corporations to oppose legislation deemed anti-LGBTQ (7).
