In 2021, “The Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC) has filed lawsuits on behalf of employees of two large companies, Honeywell and Anaplan, who were fired for refusing to take part in Critical Race Theory (CRT) trainings” (1). The company promotes divisive sex and gender policies. Its Vendor Code of Ethics requires international vendors to include sexual orientation and gender identity in their nondiscrimination policy (2). Anaplan opposed the Florida Parental Rights in Education Act, which would prohibit teaching gender identity and sexual orientation to kids in K-3rd grade (1). It was part of the Freedom for All Americans coalition, which advocated for federal legislation that would overrule state laws designed to protect girls’ sports and similar laws (2). The company opposed various state and local legislation intended to protect parental rights, girls’ sports, bathroom facilities, and gendered spaces (3)(4).
