SPRINGBORO, OH — 1792 Exchange CEO Daniel Cameron releases the following statement on Walmart’s decision to put employees, shareholders, and customers first. Walmart – the highest grossing corporation in the world – joins several industry leaders like Tractor Supply, Lowe’s, Molson Coors, Ford, and Toyota along with several others making steep cuts to divisive business initiatives.
“This is a smart business move as Walmart focuses on creating value in the marketplace for its customers and shareholders while still being a great employer and good corporate citizen.
“Common sense clearly tells us that corporations shouldn’t yield their governance practices to an activist group of any kind. We hope more major corporations consider turning the page on radical activism.”
1792 Exchange believes this shift represents tremendous progress and is eager to help other companies move back to neutral. That’s why 1792 Exchange launched a national ad campaign.
