1792 Exchange Database Update: New Joint Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (JAC) Citation

1792 Exchange has added a new citation to the Corporate Bias Ratings (CBR) database for the Joint Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (JAC), now flagging 33 companies including AT&T and Verizon. This alliance promotes the “sustainable transformation of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) supply chain” by advancing corporate social responsibility initiatives and sharing resources and best practices among members. These will now be noted on individual company profiles in the CBR.

This update highlights how companies are increasingly reassessing their involvement in activist alliances. Many corporations are realizing that their core responsibility is to maximize long-term shareholder value while serving customers and employees effectively, not to lead efforts to solve every global issue. In many cases, HR or lower-level teams join these groups without full executive awareness, lending company logos, funding, and credibility to agendas that may not align with fiduciary duties or business priorities.

States, investors, and corporate leaders following 1792 Exchange’s research now have better visibility to push for greater accountability and alignment with core business responsibilities.
