Peter Babej

Peter Babej has been the Head of Banking for Citigroup since September 2023. Before his current role with Citi, Babej worked with Citi as their CEO, Asia Pacific from 2019-2023, their Global Head of Financial Institutions from 2017-2020 and their Global Co-Head of Financial Institutions from 2010-2017.

Prior to working with Citigroup, Babej also worked for Deutsche Bank as their Co-Head of Financial Institutions, Americas from 2008-2010 and their Head of Insurance, Americas from 2006-2008. Prior to this, he also worked for Lazard as an Associate to the Managing Director, Financial Institutions M&A from 1995-2006, Goldman Sachs as an Associate, Financial Institutions M&A from 1994-1995 and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP as an Associate, Corporate Department from 1990-1992.
