Biography:

Alex Gorsky has been on the Board of Directors for IBM since 2014. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Apple since November 2021, JP Morgan Chase since July 2022, and Neurotech Pharmaceuticals since September 2023. He also served on the boards of the Travis Manion Foundation, the National Academy Foundation, and the Wharton School of Business Board of Advisors. Previously Mr. Gorsky served Johnson & Johnson as Executive Chairman from January 2022 to January 2023; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from April 2012 to January 2022; Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee from January 2011 to April 2012; Worldwide Chairman of Medical Devices and Diagnostics from September 2009 to January 2011; Worldwide Chairman of the Surgical Care Group from early 2009 to September 2009; and Company Group Chairman for Ethicon from 2008 to 2009. Prior to this he was Novartis’s Head of Pharmaceuticals North America and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2008 and Chief Operating Officer and Head of General Medicines from 2004 to 2005. He began his career at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson business unit, serving as Company Group Chairman for Europe, Middle East, and Africa from 2003 to 2004. He joined Janssen in 1988 as a Sales Representative and help various management and leadership roles until 2003. He holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania.
