Biography:

Brian Besanceney became the Chief Communications Officer of Boeing in September 2022. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of Walmart from March 2016 to August 2022, the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for Walt Disney World & Worldwide Government and Industry from 2010 to 2016, and the Vice President of Public Affairs for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts from 2009 to 2010. Previously, Mr. Besanceney worked as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Planning for the U.S. Department of State from 2006 to 2009, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2006, the Special Assistant to the President & Deputy Communications Director for Planning from 2003 to 2005, and the Director of Domestic Policy Communications from 2001 to 2003. Before this, he worked at the U.S. House of Representatives as the Communications Director to U.S. Rep. Rob Portman from 1996 to 2001. Mr. Besanceney also worked as an Account Executive for Public Affairs Group from 1995 to 1996 and began his career as an Associate at Stateside Associates from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Besanceney also serves on the Board of Directors for Orlando Health and has been on that board since 2011 and as a Trustee for the Institute for Public Relations which he has been involved with since 2019. He previously served on the board for the Trust for the National Mall and The Nature Conservancy – Florida Chapter.
