" I tell you a little story about how this even became a thing at our company was about two and a half years ago, I was running strategy and corporate development for the company, so M A and the like. And we had started to identify sustainability as things we should be putting more and more attention on going forward. And then we had two terrible max accidents, and then there was a pandemic. And we started talking about the fact that as part of earning trust with people, whatever stakeholder group you want to talk about of the company, perhaps we needed to not wait any longer to put more focus on sustainability. And so, as things would happen in companies, you get a call I got a call from our CEO, and he said, remember that conversation we had about putting more attention on sustainability? How about we do that right now? And will you do the job? Will you be Boeing's first chief Sustainability officer?"
