Biography:

Christian M. Lown has been Freddie Mac’s EVP and Chief Financial Officer since June 2020. In this position he is responsible for the company’s financial controls, accounting, ESG strategy, investor relations, financial planning and reporting, tax, capital oversight and compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Previously he served as the EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Navient. Before that, he was the Managing Director of Morgan Stanley acting as the Co-head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Financial Technology Group and Co-Head of North America Banks and Diversified Finance. From 2003-2006 he served as the Vice President of UBS in the Financial Institutions Group. He also served as an Associate at Credit Suisse from 2000 to 2003 and from 1994 to 1999, he was an Equity Analyst at CLSA, a capital markets and investment group in Asia. Before that, he was the Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales at Peregrine Holdings International from 1997-1998. He was also a College English Professor at Hong Kong Shue Yan University from 1993-1994.
