Biography:

Grain is the founder and chief executive officer of Grain Management, a private equity firm. Before founding Grain Management in 2007, he served as the president of Global Signal. Prior to that, he was with AT&T and also spent more than a decade in the financial services industries, most recently at Morgan Stanley & Co.

Grain is currently the lead independent director of Southern Company and also serves as director of New Fortress Energy. Additionally, he is a trustee of the Brookings Institution, a member of the advisory council of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and a member of the board of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum.
