David T. Walton

David T. Walton has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Caterpillar Financial Services since 2017. Before assuming this role, he oversaw U.S. sales, Canada sales and operations, corporate accounts, and the Cat Financial commercial account product from 2012 to 2017. He was also Cat Financial Vice President in Singapore, with administrative responsibility for its nine Asia-Pacific offices, including locations in Singapore, Japan, China, and Australia, from 2005 to 2011. Walton’s prior roles include Managing Director of Northern Europe from 2003 to 2005, U.S. Southern Region Manager from 2001 to 2003, and Corporate Portfolio Manager from 1999 to 2001. He joined Cat Financial in 1989, where he held various positions in credit, portfolio management, and sales in the United States. Walton is a member of the Board of Directors at FM Global, United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.
