David W. MacLennan

David W. MacLennan joined the Board of Directors at Caterpillar in 2021. Mr. MacLennan has served on the Board of Directors at Ecolab Inc. since 2015 and has served as the Executive Chair of Cargill, Inc since 2023. From 2015 to 2022, Mr. MacLennan served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Cargill, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer from 2013 to 2022 and Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2013 and Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2011 and served in various roles at the company from 1991 to 2008. Mr. MacLennan has served on the Board of Trustees at Amherst College since 2018 and serves on the board at the Minnesota Business Partnership.
