Dr. Pietro Antonio Tataranni, MD
Dr. Pietro Antonio Tataranni has served as the Chief Medical Officer of PepsiCo since 2020 and Senior Vice President of Life Sciences since 2018. Prior to these appointment, Mr. Tataranni served as the Deputy Chief Scientific Officer. Mr. Tataranni served as the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Diabetes & Cardiovascular Business Unit at Sanofi from 2016 to 2018 and Vice President of Global Medical Affairs from 2014 to 2015 and Vice President and Head of Global Medical Operations from 2011 to 2014 and Vice President and Medical & Scientific Director of Europe and Canada from 2008 to 2011 and Vice President of the Metabolism Medical Unit from 2007 to 2008 and Senior Medical Director of the Metabolism Franchise from 2005 to 2006.. Before joining Sanofi, Mr. Tataranni served as the Director of the Clinical Research Center for Obesity, Diabetes and Energy Metabolism at the National Institute of Health from 2000 to 2004 and was Head of the Obesity, Diabetes and Energy Metabolism Unit from 1999 to 2004 and served as and Associate Director of Clinical Research at Merck from 1997 to 1999.
