Biography:
Frederick Smith is known as the founder and visionary behind FedEx Corporation. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of FedEx as well. In 1971, he founded FedEx (originally known as Federal Express), introducing the concept of an integrated air-to-ground system for overnight deliveries. He briefly worked at Little Rock Air motive when he acquired the company in 1970. Before this, he was a U.S. Marine, serving from 1966-1970.
