Biography:
John Giannandrea became Senior Vice President of Machine Learning and AI at Apple in December 2018. He oversees artificial intelligence, machine learning, the development of Core ML and Siri technologies, and is rumored to be involved with Appleās car project. Prior to his time at Apple, Mr. Giannandrea worked at Google from 2010 to 2018. Before that he co-founded two technology companies, Tellme Networks and Metaweb Technologies. Mr. Giannandrea was also Chief Technologist of the browser group Netscape. He began his career as a Senior Engineer at General Magic.
Mr. Giannandrea currently serves on the Board of Trustees for both the Search for Extra Terrestrial Life (SETI) and for the Castilleja School.
