Paul Sanford

Paul Sanford has served as the Executive Vice President of Operation at The Cigna Group since 2021. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sanford served as the Senior Vice President of Solutions Delivery at Cigna from 2017 to 2021 and Vice President of Operating Effectiveness from 2008 to 2017 and Vice President of Provider Contracting and Network Management from 2004 to 2008 and Vice President of Information Technology in 2003 and Assistant Vice President of the Program Management Office from 2001 to 2003. Before his time at Cigna, Mr. Sanford served as the Vice President of Provider Network Operations at Prudential Healthcare from 1996 to 1999. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Sanford served as the Assistant Vice President of Provider Contracting at Aetna and was the Director of Managed Care Operations at Scripps health from 1990 to 1994. Mr. Sanford currently sits on the board of Directs at Corporation for Independent Living and previously served on the board at the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, and was the Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the Renbrook School.
