Rachel Brand

Rachel Brand became the Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Walmart, Inc. in April 2018. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Brand served as an Associate Attorney General of the United States from May 2017 to February 2018. Ms. Brand was an appointed board member of the PCLOB from 2012 to 2017 and Vice President and Chief Counsel for Regulatory Litigation from 2011 to 2014 and Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy from 2003 to 2007. From 2001 to 2002 Ms. Brand served as the Assistant and Associate Counsel to the President. Ms. Brand worked as a Lawyer in private practice from 1999-2001 and from 2008 to 2011 for Cooper, Carvin & Rosenthal, and for Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr. Twice in her career, Ms. Brand was a professor; from 2010 to 2011 at GW Law and from January 2017 to May 2017 at GMU Law.
