Robert Lightfoot
Robert Lightfoot became the Executive Vice President, Space at Lockheed Martin in January 2022. Prior to this he served Lockheed Martin as the Vice President, Operations at Lockheed Martin Space from June 2021 to January 2022 and was the Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Lockheed Martin Space from May 2019 to June 2021. Before his time at Lockheed Martin, Mr. Lightfoot was the President of LSINC Corporation from May 2018 to May 2019. Prior to this he worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as an Associate Administrator from March 2012 to May 2018; Director of Marshall Space Flight Center from August 2009 to March 2012; Deputy Center Director of Marshall Space Flight Center from May 2007 to August 2009; Manager, Shuttle Propulsion Office at Marshall Space Flight Center from October 2005 to May 2007; Assistant Associate Administrator, Space Shuttle Program at NASA Headquarters from June 2003 to October 2005; and Director, Propulsion Test Directorate at Stennis Space Center from August 2001 to June 2003; Chief Propulsion Test Operation at Stennis Space Center from 1999 to 2001; Deputy Division Chief, Propulsion Test Division at Marshall Space Center from 1998 to 1999; and Test Engineer and Program Manager at Marshall Space Center from 1989 to 1998. Mr. Lightfoot served on the Board of Firefly Aeronautics from 2018 to 2019 and previously served on the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Alabama. He currently is on the Board for Space Dynamics Laboratory and Alabama Space Grant Consortium Industrial Advisory Board
