Robert W. Lord

Robert W. Lord has been IBM’s Senior Vice President of The Weather Company and Alliances since January 2022 and has served on the Board for Finance of America since April 2021. Prior to this he served IBM as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Ecosystems & Cognitive Applications from February 2019 to January 2022 and Chief Digital Officer from April 2016 to February 2019. Before joining IBM Mr. Lord was AOL’s President from January 2015 to January 2016 and Chief Executive Officer of AOL Platforms from August 2013 to January 2015. Previously he served as Chief Executive Officer, Digital Technologies Division for the Publicis Groupe from February 2013 to July 2013. He was Razorfish’s Chief Executive Officer of “VivaKi Interactive” from December 2011 to January 2013; Global Chief Executive Officer, Razorfish (Publicis Groupe Subsidiary) from November 2010 to January 2013; Global Chief Executive Officer, Razorfish (Microsoft Subsidiary) from February 2009 to October 2010; East Region President, Razorfish (Microsoft Subsidiary) from August 2007 to January 2009; and East Region President, Razorfish (Subsidiary of aQuantive) from August 2004 to July 2007. Mr. Lord was Executive Vice President of SBI-Razorfish Inc. from March 2003 to July 2004; Chief Operating Officer of Razorfish Inc. from January 2002 to February 2003; and Executive Vice President, North America of Razorfish Inc. from November 2000 to 2001. Prior to this he served as Vice President, Corporate Alliances and Business Development for Pretzel Logic Software, Inc. from July 2000 to November 2000; Vice President, Client Support Services for Agility.com from February 2000 to July 2000; Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for Prism Rehab Systems from May 1990 to November 1999; Chief Operating Officer for Advanced Rehab Systems from May 1996 to May 1998; Area Vice President, NovaCare Contract Services at Nova Care from February 1995 to May 1996; Senior Principal Consultant and Project Manager for Symmetrix from June 1990 to February 1995; and a Senior Industrial Project Engineer and Marketing Product Engineer for Corning Incorporated from June 1985 to September 1988. He began his career as a Shift Supervisor and Industrial Engineer at General Motors from June 1983 to 1984. Mr. Lord has previously served on the boards of the Marketing and Media Association (December 2020 to December 2022), Aqua Finance (October 2019 to July 2022), Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (October 2017 to December 2019), Screenvision Media (February 2016 to April 2018), the Internet Advertising Bureau (January 2013 to January 2016), and the Advertising Council (January 2009 to January 2011).
