Sam Deshpande

Sam Deshpande has served as the Chief Information Officer of Humana since 2021. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Deshpande served as the Chief Technology and Risk Officer of Humana from 2019 to 2021 and Chief Risk Officer from 2017 to 2019. Before joining Humana, Mr. Deshpande served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the U.S. and International Card Divisions at Capital One in 2017 and Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and Head of Enterprise Services & Financial Services Division from 2012 to 2016. Mr. Deshpande served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Credit and Business Strategy at Capital One Mortgage from 2009 to 2011 and Senior Vice President and Head of Credit and Business Strategy at Capital One Auto Finance from 2006 to 2009 and Vice President of marketing and Analysis from 2003 to 2006 and Director of Marketing and Analysis from 2000 to 2003.from 1997 to 2000, Mr. Deshpande served as a Senior Manager at Accenture and was a Senior Associate at Booz Allen & Hamilton from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Deshpande has served on the Board of Governors at FINRA since 2021.
