Biography:

Susan C. Schwab joined the Board of Directors at Caterpillar in 2009, at Marriott International in 2015, and FedEx Corporation in 2009. Ms. Schwab has served as a Strategic Advisor at Mayer Brown LLP since 2010 and Board Chair of the National Foreign Trade Council since 2022. Ms. Schwab has served as Professor Emerita at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy since 2019 and was a professor from 2009 to 2019 and Dean of the school from 1995 to 2003. From 2004 to 2005, Ms. Schwab served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of University System of Maryland Foundation and was Director of Corporate Business Development at Motorola, Inc. from 1993 to 1995. Ms. Schwab served as the 15th United States Trade Representative from 2006 to 2009, and Deputy U.S. Trade Representative from 2005 to 2006 under President George W. Bush. In 2003, Ms. Schwab served as a Consultant in the U.S. Department of Treasury and was an Assistant Secretary of Commerce at the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Services from 1989 to 1993.
