ALDI, a discount supermarket chain, vets vendors for LGBTQ policies and does not provide viewpoint protections for its employees. However, it has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. ALDI implemented unconscious bias training and released gender transition guidelines for its employees. ALDI pledged $5.5 million to racial equity causes, including a $1 million donation to the National Urban League. However, ALDI does not discriminate against religious organizations in it charitable giving. For these reasons, ALDI receives a Medium Risk rating.
