Corprate Bias Ratings
ALDI which is a discount supermarket chain, was involved in a lawsuit for firing an employee for religious reasons. ALDI does not make donations to religious organizations and does not protect its employees from viewpoint discrimination. ALDI implemented unconscious bias training for all its employees, released gender transition guidelines, and published articles on supporting the LGBTQ+ community. ALDI donated $1 million to the National Urban League. For these reasons, Aldi receives a Medium Risk rating.

In 2006, Aldi faced a religious discrimination suit after an employee claimed she was wrongly fired after telling her manager she couldn’t work Sundays because of her religious beliefs (1).
Charitable giving (including employee matching programs) policies or practices discriminate against charitable organizations based on views or religious beliefs.
ALDI does not make charitable donations to religious organizations (1).
Uses corporate reputation to support ideological causes and/or organizations hostile to freedom of expression.
Uses corporate funds to advance ideological causes, organizations, or policies hostile to freedom of expression.
