Bungie does not provide viewpoint protections for its employees but has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. Bungie provides a benefits package for employees which covers travel/lodging costs for an abortion. It also encourages customers to donate to Black Lives Matter (BLM) and other similar organizations. For these reasons, Bungie receives a Medium Risk rating.

Bungie reserves the right to remove content on its forums centered on “discussions of sensitive politics like politics and religion – outside the context of in-game story elements” (1). This policy, however, is for the purpose of maintaining a stable community environment, not active viewpoint discrimination.

Bungie provides a benefits package for employees which covers travel/lodging costs for an abortion (1)(2). The company stated, “Bungie is committed to safeguarding the freedom and privacy of its employees and providing support to all employees affected by this decision. Standing up for reproductive choice and liberty is not a difficult decision to make, and Bungie remains dedicated to upholding these values.” (3). In 2020 the company pledged financial contributions to the BLM organization, the Antiracism Center, and various other similar organizations (4).
