Hy-Vee, which is a supermarket chain, vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies and does not protect its employees against viewpoint discrimination. However; the company has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs and does not appear to discriminate against religious organizations in its charitable giving. Hy-Vee partners with Raygun, who outwardly supports Planned Parenthood through the Iowa Abortion Access Fund and in 2020, Hy-Vee pledged to donate $1 million to organizations that support racial unity and equality. The company allegedly discriminated against an employee for attending BLM protests but does not use its PAC donations for ideological purposes.
