The Knot, a wedding planning website, vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies and does not protect its employees against viewpoint discrimination. However, the company has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. The Knot encourages donations to many ideological groups hostile to freedom of expression, such as Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter (BLM), and Color of Change. The Knot supports the Equality Act, opposed the Florida Parental Rights in Education Law, and is a corporate partner of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The company covers the cost of "medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children.
