Tripadvisor pulled ads from Laura Ingrahm's show in 2018 due to her criticisms of the political views of a Parkland shooting survivor. Tripadvisor supports the Equality Act. The company opposed various state and local legislation intended to protect parental rights, girls’ sports, bathroom facilities, and gendered spaces. TripAdvisor advocated for federal legislation that would overrule state laws designed to protect girls' sports but does not discriminate against charitable organizations based on views or beliefs. The company denounced various states’ legislative efforts to protect election integrity and security. For these reasons, Tripadvisor receives a High Risk rating.
