Corprate Bias Ratings
Voya Financial vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies but has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. The company is a copper sponsor of Out & Equal and a corporate partner of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. However, it does not discriminate against religious organizations in its charitable giving and it does provide viewpoint protections for its employees. Furthermore, it has not used its PAC contributions for ideological purposes. For these reasons, Voya Financial receives a "Lower Risk" rating.

Voya Financial received a score of 100 on the Corporate Equality Index from the Human Rights Campaign (1). Among other requirements, this means Voya Financial vets suppliers according to LGBTQ policies.
Charitable giving (including employee matching programs) policies or practices discriminate against charitable organizations based on views or religious beliefs.
The Voya Foundation’s main goals are “providing students grades K-12 with the resources to be financially secure in the future; supporting teacher training and rewarding excellence in the classroom; and helping students pursue post-secondary education through our Voya Scholars program” (1). Voya has not published a statement discriminating against religious organizations for the Voya Foundation or for its employee matching program (2).
Uses corporate reputation to support ideological causes and/or organizations hostile to freedom of expression.
Voya Financial has not used its corporate reputation to sign onto pro-LGBTQ letters or legislation but has published a news page on its site supporting the LGBTQ agenda (1).
