Scale does not provide viewpoint protections for its employees (4)(5).

In June 2024, Scale’s CEO Alexandr Wang release an article in defense of meritocracy because it is “good for business and is the right thing to do.” Wang also condemned racial and gender preferences in hiring stating “We will not pick winners and losers based on someone being the “right” or “wrong” race, gender, and so on. It should be needless to say, and yet it needs saying: doing so would be racist and sexist, not to mention illegal” (1)(2). Scale has not supported ideological causes or policies (3)(4)(5).
