Daniel L. Vasella

Daniel Vasella has served on the Board of Directors at PepsiCo since 2002 and American Express since 2012 Mr. Vasella has served on the Board of Directors at Numab Therapeutics since 2019 and is a board member at SciClone Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Vasella served on the Board of Directors at XBiotech from 2014 to 2018 and was the Chairman of Novartis AG from 1999 to 2013 and Chief Executive Officer from 1996 to 2010. Mr. Vasella served as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Worldwide Development and Head of Corporate Marketing at Sandoz Pharma Ltd. From 1992 to 1996. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Vasella served in various medical positions at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Mr. Vasella has served on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Health Program Advisory Panel and has been an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences since 2008. Mr. Vasella also serves on the Board of Trustees at Carnegie Endowment for Int’l Peace and a member of the Board of Governors at the Peres Center for Peace, Israel.
