Biography:

James D. Taiclet became Chairman of the Board for Lockheed Martin in March 2021 after initially joining the company as their President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2020. He has served as a member on the Lockheed Martin board since January 2018. Prior to starting at Lockheed Martin, Taiclet worked for American Tower. He was the Executive Chairman from March 2020-May 2020, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer from February 2004 to March 2020, and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer from September 2001 to February 2004. Before his time at American Tower he was the President of Honeywell Aerospace Services (previously Allied Signals) from March 1999 to September 2001. Prior to this he served as Vice President, Engine Services at Pratt and Whitney from March 1996 to March 1999. From July 1991 to February 1996 Mr. Taiclet worked as a Telecommunications and Aerospace Consultant for McKinsey and Company. He began his career as an Officer and Pilot of the United States Air Force, serving from 1985 until 1991. Mr. Taiclet is an Associate Fellow at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the National Space Council Users’ Advisory Group. He currently serves on the board for Catalyst, Inc., Brigham and Women’s Health Care, Inc., the Council on Foreign Relations, Mass General Brigham, The Business Council, and the U.S.- India Business Council Board.
