James J. Gerace

James J. Gerace has served as the Chief Communications Officer at Verizon Communications since 2013. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Gerace served as the Vice President of State Government Affairs New York Region from 2010 to 2013 and Vice President of Corporate Communications. Before Verizon, Mr. Gerace served as the Vice President of Corporate Communications at Bell Atlantic Mobile from 1995 to 2000. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Gerace served as the Executive Director of Public Relations at NYNEX Mobile Communications and was a Manager of Employee Communications from 1986 to 1991. Mr. Gerace currently serves on the Board of Directors at Catholic Charities of New York and has served on the Dean’s Advisory Council, Department of Arts and Sciences, University at Buffalo since 2018 and on the Regional Board of Directors at INROADS since 2007. Previously, Mr. Gerace served on the Board of Directors at Jersey Battered Women’s Service from 2002 to 2008 and The Wireless Foundation 2007 to 2009.
