Biography:

Robert O. Work became a Board Member of Raytheon Technologies in 2017. He also currently serves as the President and Owner of TeamWork, LLC and has been in this role since 2017. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Secretary of Defense for the Department of Defense from May 2014 to July 2017, the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for New American Security from 2013 to 2014, and the Under Secretary of the Navy for the Department of the Navy from 2009 to 2013. Mr. Work previously worked for the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments as the Vice President for Strategic Studies from 2006 to 2009 and a Senior Fellow from 2002 to 2006. He also worked for the U.S. Marine Corp in a variety of roles including Senior Aide and Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Navy from 1999 to 2001, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion from 1998 to 1999, Director of Strategic Initiative Group from 1996 to 1998, Commanding Officer of the 5th Battalion, 11th Marines from 1994 to 1996, and Operations Officer of 11th Marine Regiment for 5 months in 1994. Mr. Work briefly worked for the U.S. Navy Reconnaissance Office as the Director of Operations and Exercise Support from 1993 to 1994. Prior to this, he began his career with the U.S. Marine Corp where he served in a variety of roles from 1974 to 1993. Mr. Work also serves as a Board Member for Blacklynx, Inc., System High Corporation, SparkCognition Government Systems, Inc., and Enlightenment Capital LLC. He also is the Chairman for Poplicus, Inc. and Hensoldt, Inc. as well as the Principal Advisor for WestExec Advisors LLC. Mr. Work previously served as the Vice Chairman for the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence. He currently serves as a Board Member for Council on Foreign Relations, Inc. and The International Institute for Strategic Studies.
