Wayne S. Deveydt

Wayne S. DeVeydt joined the Board of Directors at Centene in 2022 and has also served on the Board of Directors at Bain Capital and Zelis Healthcare since 2022. Mr. DeVeydt serves as the Executive Chairman of Surgery Partners, Inc. and previously served as the Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2020. Prior to Surgery Partners, Mr. DeVeydt served in several C-Suit positions at Anthem, Inc. from 2005 to 2016 including the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. DeVeydt worked as a Partner over Assurance Services at PricewaterCoopers from 1993 to 2002, and previously served as a Director at NiSource, Inc., Grupo Notre Dame Intermedica, and Myovant Science. Mr. DeVeydt is involved in several non-profits. Mr. DeVeydt is a Co-Founder and Board Member at Global Orphan Foundation since 2007, and Director at Boys and Girls Club of America. Previously, Mr. DeVeydt served on the Board of Directors at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, and Cancer Support Community.
