Derrick York

Derrick York has served as the President of Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar subsidiary, since September 2023. Prior to this appointment, Mr. York served as the Senior Vice President of Caterpillar Oil, Gas, and Marine division from 2022 to 2023 and General Manager of Global Marine Business from 2020 to 2022 and Group Chief Financial Officer of Caterpillar’s Customer and Dealer Support from 2017 to 2020 and Senior Director of Corporate Development from 2013 to 2017 and Director of Strategy & Business Development Asia Pacific in 2013 and Director of Strategy & Business Development in Illinois from 2010 to 2013. Before joining Caterpillar, Mr. York served as the Senior Vice President and Associate Director at Macquarie Bank from 2007 to 2010 and Vice President of Giuliani Advisors from 2004 to 2007. Mr. York served as an Associate at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance from 2003 to 2004 and Senior Associate at KPMG from 2002 to 2003. Mr. York has served as a member of the Gies College of Business Dean’s Business Council since 2018 and previously served on the Board of Directors at EPIC from 2014 to 2017.
