"we ought to be radical and insisting on diversity. And I'm going to use the word diversity as different from inclusion. And that's at the very beginning when we bring a class of interns in for the summer or we bring a class of new hires in, I insist that those classes are diverse."

"I think we have to also be sincere that it is beneficial to Americans to learn more about these racial problems so that we can't have the sort of if you don't address the root cause of the issue, then it leads to false thinking that somehow those people there just aren't doing enough. And if we don't address the structural systems that have put that group of Americans in that situation, then it's going to be hard to come up with the right solutions, right?"

"we have to actually find ways to create programs of training and opportunity to actually pull people into this success and to relieve them from a life of systemic, underserved communities and that they create as a white man."

"And so when I think about the George Floyd killing, I think about the social upheaval, I think about the economic upheaval. I thought that we should not waste this crisis. We should not waste this moment where everyone feels a little bit more vulnerable and a little bit more open."

"When you have diversity, you're going to see the world more broadly. When you have diversity, you're going to learn more about life. And I am convinced it's a richer life. So I think everything gets better when we get more inclusive."
