Biography:
John Furner became the President and CEO of Walmart U.S. in November, 2019. In 2022 he was appointed as the Chairman of the National Retail Federation. He served as the President and CEO of Sam’s Club from 2017-2019, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer from 2015-2016, and Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Walmart China from 2013-2015. Prior to 2013, John Furner served in several different roles within Sam’s Club’s merchandising and global sourcing departments. He previously served on the board of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
