Ellen R. Patterson

Ellen R. Patterson has served as Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Wells Fargo since 2020. Before joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Patterson served as the Group Head General Counsel of TD from 2017 to 2020 and Executive Vice President and General Counsel from 2016 to 2017 and Executive Vice President, U.S. Head of Legal, Compliance, and AML and General Counsel from 2013 to 2017 and Executive Vice President and U.S. General Counsel from 2012 to 2013. Ms. Patter started her career as a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett from 1998 to 2012, advising financial institutions on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate governance matters. Ms. Patterson is a member of the Board of Directors at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
