Frank M. Semple

Frank M. Semple has served on the Board of Directors at Marathon Petroleum since 2021, previously serving on the board from 2015 to 2018. Mr. Semple has served on the Board of Directors at MPLX since 2015 and was Vice Chairman from 2015 to 2016. From 2003 to 20015, Mr. Semple served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of MarkWest Energy Partners and was appointed Chairman of the Board from 2008 to 2015. Prior to joining MarkWest, Mr. Semple had a twenty-two-year career at The Williams Companies and WilTel Communication, serving in increasingly higher roles. Prior to his corporate career, Mr. Semple served in the United States Navy. Mr. Semple currently sits on the Board of Directors at Black Gold Group and Choctaw Global, LLC. From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Semple served on the Board of Directors at Tesoro Acquisition Corp. and on the Board of Directors at Tesoro Logistics GP, LLC from 2018 to 2019.
