Marc D. Hamburg

Marc Hamburg became the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary of Berkshire Hathaway in 1992. Mr. Hamburg is President at BH Finance and Manager of Burlington Northern Santa Fe, which are both subsidiaries of Berkshire Hathaway. Mr. Hamburg has been involved in the acquisition of multiple companies including Alleghany Corporation, Precision Carparts Corp., and Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and served as Director of these companies. Mr. Hamburg has also been on the Board of Directors at XTRA Corp., Richline Corp, and Star Furniture.
