Raul Yanes

Raul Yanes became the Head of Non-Financial Risk at Morgan Stanley in May 2022. Prior to this he was the Chief Compliance Officer from June 2017 to January 2023. Before joining Morgan Stanley he was a Partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from May 2009 to May 2017. Previously Mr. Yanes was Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary at the White House from June 2006 to January 2009. He served on the General Counsel for the Office of Management and Budget from September 2005 to May 2006 and was Senior Counselor in the Office of the Attorney General of the United States from January 2005 to August 2005. Prior to this he was the Associate Counsel to the President at the White House from September 2003 to January 2005. Mr. Yanes was a Partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from June 1999 to August 2003 and an Associate from November 1993 to May 1999. He began his career as a Clerk for Judge John L. Coffey, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from August 1991 to August 1993. He serves on the board for Results for America.
