Risa J. Lavizzo-Mourey, MD
Dr. Risa Lavizzo-Mourey joined Intel’s Board of Directors in March 2018. She has been the Chair for GE Health since January 2023; on the Board of Directors for Better Therapeutics since April 2021; a Trustee of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute since 2021; on the Board of Governors for TIAA since 2021; on the Board of Directors for Merck since 2020; and on the Board of Regents for the Smithsonian Institute since 2014. Previously she was the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Professor of Health Equity and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2018 to January 2021; Chief Executive Officer of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from January 2003 to April 2017; Senior Vice President of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from April 2001 to January 2003; and a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania from 1986 to 2001. Dr. Lavizzo-Mourey held various government roles from 1985 to 1998, including Deputy Administrator for the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research during President H.W. Bush’s Administration and Quality of Care Chair for President Bill Clinton’s Health Care Panels. She has previously served on the boards of General Electric, Genworth Financial, Hess, Beckman Coulter, Ascension Health System, The Independent Sector, and the Princeton Medical Center.
