Wallace R. Weitz

Wallace R. Weitz became a Director at Berkshire Hathaway in 2022. Mr. Weitz is a Co-Chairman of the Board, Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Portfolio Manager at Weitz Investment Management, which he founded in 1983. At Weitz Investment Management, Mr. Weitz has previously served as the Chief Investment Office. Mr. Weitz is also a Board Member at Cable One. Mr. Weitz started his career at Chiles, Heider & Co. in Omaha as an analyst and portfolio manager from 1973 to 1983. Outside of his corporate affairs, Mr. Weitz is a Board Member of the Weitz Family Foundation, Carleton College, and the Joslyn Art Museum.
