Biography:

Wayne J. Riley joined the Board of Directors at HCA Healthcare in 2014. Mr. Riley has served as the President of SUNY Downstate Health Science University since 2017. Before his appointment at SUNY, Mr. Riley served as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine from 2013 to 2017 and President of Meharry Medical College from 2007 to 2013 and Vice President and Vice Dean of Health Affairs and Government Relations at Baylor College of Medicine from 2003 to 2006. Mr. Riley has served on the Board of Directors at Compass Pathway and HeartFlow since 2021 and previously served on the board at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2015 and Pinnacle Financial Partners from 2007 to 2013. Mr. Riley has served as a Commissioner of MedPAC since 2020 and Chair of the Board of Trustees at The New York Academy of Medicine since 2019 and is President of the Society of Medical Administrators. Mr. Riley previously served as President, Regent, and Master at the American College Physicians, was the Vice Chair of the national Academy of Medicine, and served on the board at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Nashville Branch.
