Asurion vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies and does not provide its employees with protections against viewpoint discrimination, but has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. The company covers the cost of "medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children. Asurion actively discriminates against "anti-LGBTQ" charities and donated $1 million to the National Urban League. However, it has not used its PAC contributions for ideological purposes. For these reasons, Asurion receives a Medium Risk rating.

Asurion does not have an employee matching program (1). Compassion Forward, Asurion’s charitable fund, states that it is “against donating our philanthropic dollars to anti-LGBTQ organizations,” which would theoretically disqualify organized based on numerous faiths (2)(3). It is unclear if the company would give money to a religious charity.

Asurion has a perfect score on the HRC’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index. This score indicates the company covers the cost of “medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children (1)(2). The company started hosting the #BeBold series, which supports the #MeToo and LGBTQ movement (3). Asurion’s diversity program commUnity created “Call for Action for Racial Equality,” which supports the Black Lives Matter movement (4). Asurion also published a memo in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement (5). Asurion advocates for the Equality Act and transgender participation in youth sports (6)(7). Asurion’s Director of Quality was awarded the Business Leader of the Year Award by The Nashville LGBT Chamber (8).
