Champion vets vendors according to LGBTQ policies but has not publicly terminated business relationships based on views or beliefs. The company covers the cost of "medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children. However, Champion provides political viewpoint protections for employees, does not discriminate against religious organizations in its charitable giving, and has not used its corporate dollars for ideological purposes. For these reasons, Champion receives a "Lower Risk" rating.

Hanesbrands Inc.’s HRC CEI profile indicates the company covers the cost of “medically necessary transition-related care” for its employees and their children (1)(2). In 2021, Champion partnered with LGBTQ organizations Sissy Studios and TABOO to release a Pride-centric clothing line (3). However, this line was limited to Australia, and Champion did not repeat the partnership in 2022.
