Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has not publicly terminated employee memberships or business relationships due to religious or political beliefs. While it promotes DEI trainings, SHRM has promoted tolerance and never amplified messages to fire/cancel clients based on their views. However, it has advocated for the Equality Act. SHRM does not fund ideological causes hostile to freedom of expression. For these reasons, SHRM receives a Lower Risk rating.

SHRM limits its charitable giving to educational scholarships and employment opportunities for veterans and disabled employees, and mental health initiatives (1).
Uses corporate reputation to support ideological causes and/or organizations hostile to freedom of expression.
