Snap Inc. (Snapchat) terminated the account of former President Trump due to allegations of inciting "racial violence." The company requires suppliers not discriminate based on sexual orientation, is part of the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, and does not provide viewpoint protections for its employees. Snap pledged support to BLM and related causes and provides up to $10,000 for employees abortion travel expenses. The company mandates all new employees attend unconscious bias trainings but does not discriminate against religious organizations in its charitable giving.. For these reasons, Snap Inc. receives a High Risk rating.

Snap is a member of the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, which aims to demonetize advertisements and suppress content that “vilifies” individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity, discusses “debated social issues in a negative or partisan context” or spreads “hate speech” (3)(4)(5).

Through the Pride Month Spotlight Challenge, Snap Inc. will grant $10,000 in prizes to creators “who can best express their Pride preparation process” (5). Snap pledged support to Black Lives Matter and related causes (6)(7).
