Biography:

David C. Benson has been the President of Fannie Mae since 2018. He briefly served as Interim Chief Executive Officer in 2022. Before becoming President, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2013 to 2018, Executive Vice President of Capital Markets, Securitization, and Strategy from 2008 to 2013, Senior Vice President and Treasurer from 2006 to 2008, and Vice President and Assistant Treasurer from 2002 to 2006. Before his tenure at Fannie Mae, Benson was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch from 1988 to 2002. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors at Common Securitization Solutions since 2015.
